1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site that explains where Chautauqua County, Kansas court and public records may be searched or requested. We do not store official court files, certified copies, warrants, jail records, vital records, or government databases.

Official records must be obtained from the court, clerk, sheriff, state agency, or federal court that maintains them. Kansas public records may be governed by the Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-216 through 45-221, Kansas Supreme Court rules, and other laws.

2. Rules for Using This Site

• Do not use this site for any unlawful purpose.
• Do not use information found here to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
• Do not use this site or linked tools for employment, credit, tenant, insurance, or other FCRA-regulated decisions.

• Do not treat site content as an official statement from a Kansas court or Chautauqua County office.

3. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. This site does not create background checks, credit reports, tenant-screening reports, insurance reports, or employment-screening reports. You agree not to use this site, its content, or third-party search tools linked from it for any purpose regulated by the FCRA.

• Do not use the information to hire, fire, or screen workers.
• Do not use it to screen renters or housing applicants.
• Do not use it to decide credit, insurance, or eligibility questions.

4. Links to Outside Sites

Links may point to Kansas court portals, Chautauqua County offices, the 14th Judicial District, KDHE, KBI, KDOR, federal courts, legal resources, and third-party search providers. Those sites are controlled by their own owners. Their terms, fees, privacy policies, access rules, and availability may differ from ours.
